Employee Assistance Program

The Employee Assistance program, through Optum, is available to you and your household family members 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Licensed counselors can provide up to 8 face-to-face or virtual visits per issue. This service can help with many issues, including conflicts at work, financial, or legal assistance, depression, grief, marital or family concerns, stress, codependency, and drug and alcohol dependency.

Calm and Calm Health

The Calm and Calm Health apps are the #1 top-rated app for sleep, meditation and mindfulness. With these apps you will have access to mental health screenings, self-guided learning modules, evidence-based content and referrals. Both the Calm and Calm Health apps are available to employees and dependents (18+ years of age) who are covered under the City medical insurance plan.

Employees and their dependents covered under the City medical plan have access to the UnitedHealthcare mental health network. Mental health and behavioral health programs and resources are available to help you feel better and help you get back to being you. Behavioral health care includes mental health care with a focus on a person’s behaviors and habits as well as treatment for substance use.
